EMOTIONALLY FOCUSED THERAPY INTENSIVES
More progress. Less waiting.
Still leaving therapy sessions feeling like you just scratched the surface?
You've put in the work — showing up week after week, talking through the same cycles, hoping something will finally shift. But the arguments still happen, the distance still grows, and it's starting to feel like therapy is just a place to vent rather than a place to actually heal. You need more than an hour a week — you need focused, uninterrupted time to go deep and come out the other side.
Are you someone who:
Wants to do the deep work — and do it all at once
Can carve out dedicated time to invest fully in your relationship
Is ready to stop managing the problem and actually solve it
eft couples intensives:
A concentrated, immersive approach to healing your relationship.
Instead of the traditional 50-minute weekly session, an intensive gives us several hours together over one, two or even three dedicated days.
That uninterrupted time allows us to move past surface-level conversation and get to what's really happening underneath — the fears, the longings, the moments where you stopped feeling safe with each other.
Think of it as doing months of meaningful work in a matter of days.
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy, we'll slow down the cycles that keep pulling you apart and start making sense of them together.
I'll help each of you access and share the deeper emotions that often get buried beneath anger, silence, or distance.
From that place of honesty and vulnerability, we'll build new patterns of connection that actually hold.
How It Works:
Before We Begin
Understand your relationship story — the highs, the lows, and how you got here. We'll assess where you are and make sure an intensive is the right fit for this moment.

During the Intensive
Slow down the cycles pulling you apart and make sense of them together. We'll go beneath the arguments to the fears, hurt, and longing underneath — giving each of you space to be truly heard.

why it works…
A proven model backed by research
EFT is one of the most rigorously studied approaches to couples therapy, with decades of research supporting its effectiveness. An intensive lets you experience its full power in a concentrated format.
Enough time to get below the surface
Fifty-minute sessions often end just as things get real. Intensives give you the space to move past surface-level conflict and into the emotions that are actually driving the disconnection.
Breakthroughs that build on each other
In an intensive, each shift leads directly into the next — creating a compounding effect that's nearly impossible to replicate across weeks of traditional sessions. Couples often make more progress in two days than in months of weekly therapy.
STOP WAITING FOR THINGS TO GET BETTER.
Make the leap in an EFT Intensive.
You and your partner deserve more than hoping things will change on their own. An intensive gives you the dedicated time and space to finally break through the cycle — together.

Common questions about EFT Intensives
-
An intensive isn't always the right starting point — and that's okay. Some couples come to me after months of weekly therapy that never moved the needle, wondering if an intensive will finally get them unstuck. Sometimes it will. But sometimes the real issue isn't the format — it's the fit. Great results come from feeling safe with your therapist and working with someone who truly specializes in couples. If you're ready to go all in, an intensive can create breakthroughs that weekly sessions can't match. If that feels like too big a leap, weekly EFT is a great place to start.

I hear this frequently, and I’m not wired for a feelings-forum myself. Thankfully, EFT isn't about sitting around talking about feelings. It's about slowing down what's happening between you two long enough to make sense of it. Emotion isn't just tears — it's the meaning you're making, the protective moves you default to, the tension you carry in your chest when a conversation goes sideways. My job isn't to make anyone cry. It's to help things feel less chaotic so you can actually hear each other. The partners who show up convinced they "don't do emotions" are usually the ones who surprise themselves the most.

Not at all. A lot of couples assume intensives are only for relationships on the brink — and yes, they're incredibly effective after an affair or during a season of intense conflict. But plenty of couples come in simply because they're stuck. Not falling apart, just… not moving forward. An intensive can break through that kind of chronic disconnection faster than months of weekly sessions. That said, an intensive isn't the right fit for every situation. If there's active, unmanaged domestic violence or ongoing untreated substance abuse, we'd need to address those issues first before this format can do its best work.
EFT Intensive Options
4 Hour Intensive - $860A focused session designed to tackle a specific issue or pattern that's keeping you stuck. Ideal for couples who want a deeper dive than weekly therapy allows but aren't ready to commit to a full day.
1 Day Intensive - $1,720Enough time to move beyond the surface and into real, lasting change. Most couples find this is where the breakthroughs happen — you'll have the space to slow down, understand your cycle, and start building something different together.
3 Day Intensive - $5,160The most transformative option available. Three days gives you the time to not only identify and break through your negative patterns, but to practice new ones in real time — so you leave with confidence, not just insight. This is the closest thing to a relationship reset.
About Emotionally Focused Therapy
EFT is a structured, evidence-based approach to couples therapy developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. The basic idea is this: when couples fight, they're rarely fighting about the dishes or the in-laws. They're caught in a cycle — a pattern of pursuing and withdrawing, attacking and shutting down — that's driven by deeper emotions neither partner can easily access in the heat of the moment. My job is to help you slow that cycle down, understand what's really driving it, and create new ways of responding to each other that actually lead to connection instead of conflict. EFT isn't about teaching you communication hacks or giving you homework. It's about getting to the root of the disconnection and helping you and your partner feel emotionally safe with each other again. It's one of the most researched approaches to couples therapy in the world — and the reason I've built my entire practice around it.
